Dunedin Study Researcher Receives International Distinguished Scientist Award

Professor Murray Thomson has become the first New Zealander to win two awards from the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). The IADR presented Professor Thomson with the 2014 IADR Distinguished Scientist Award in Geriatric Oral Researchduring the Opening Ceremonies of the 92nd IADR General Session & Exhibition held on 25 June 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Professor Thomson is a professor of dental epidemiology and public health at Otago’s School of Dentistry. He has been Theme Leader for the Dunedin Study's Dental Health research since the Age 26 Assessment Phase (1998-1999).
