Study Director honoured in national research awards

Professor Richie Poulton, Director of the Dunedin Multidiscplinary Health and Development Research Unit, was one of five leading University of Otago researchers who were recognised for their outstanding work through the presentation of prestigious awards at the Royal Society of New Zealand 2010 Research Honours event held on Thursday, 11 November 2010.

He was named as the joint recipient (with Professor Richard Bedford of the AUT and the University of Waikato) of the Dame Joan Metge Medal for social science. The medal is awarded for excellence and building relationships in the social science research community.
